Here's what we were working with - a side yard completely overtaken by overgrown shrubs and weeds, zero usable space, and a porch that had no real connection to the rest of the yard. No structure. No function. Just a mess. A lot of homeowners deal with this exact situation and aren't sure where to even start. That's where we come in.

We cleared everything out and got to work on a full build - a 3-tier retaining wall system, a raised patio, and a fresh plant install with integrated lighting. The retaining wall construction alone was a serious undertaking. You can see the crew working course by course, keeping everything plumb and properly set. That kind of precision matters because a wall that's off even slightly at the base becomes a much bigger problem down the road.

What makes this build stand out is how all three elements work together. The tiered walls step down from the raised patio in a clean, geometric layout, and the planting beds sit right inside those tiers. Fresh shrubs and perennials were installed with fresh dark mulch throughout, giving each tier its own defined layer of greenery. The lighting built into the wall faces ties it all together - functional after dark and sharp-looking even during the day.

The finished product is a yard that actually works. The homeowner went from having no usable outdoor space to having a raised patio area connected to a structured, landscaped yard with multiple defined levels. That's the kind of difference a well-planned retaining wall and hardscape build can make. It's not just about looks - it's about getting real use out of your property.
