Paver Patio and Walkway Upgrade in Minneapolis

This Minneapolis yard had a lot of character already - established gardens, mature trees, a cozy studio structure, and plenty of personality. What it was missing was a clear, functional layout that tied everything together. That's where we came in.

We installed a paver patio with an angled, geometric border design that creates a defined gathering space right outside the studio. The warm red and tan tones in the pavers complement the existing landscaping without competing with it. Surrounding the patio, a decomposed granite surface adds texture and softens the transition into the garden beds.

The paver walkway is the backbone of the whole design. It runs straight through the yard, connecting the different zones with a clean, intentional path. That kind of structure is what makes a space actually usable day to day - not just nice to look at.

Good outdoor design does two things at once. It improves how a space looks and how it functions. Here, that means less muddy, uneven ground to deal with and more time actually enjoying the yard. The pavers are built to handle Minneapolis winters too, so the investment holds up season after season.

Every element we chose - the patio layout, the walkway alignment, the gravel surfacing - was picked with the rest of the yard in mind. The goal was always to make the space feel cohesive, not like a bunch of separate projects patched together.
