We're knee-deep in a patio build right now in the north Twin Cities metro, and it's shaping up to be a great one. The ground is prepped, the area is excavated and graded, and the real work is about to begin. This is the stage most people never see - but it's honestly where a good patio is won or lost.
A proper base is everything. If the ground isn't excavated to the right depth, leveled correctly, and compacted properly, you'll end up with a patio that shifts, cracks, or settles unevenly over time. We take that prep work seriously on every single job, no shortcuts.
This backyard didn't have much going on before - just open lawn space that wasn't being used to its full potential. A well-built patio changes that completely. It creates an actual destination in your own yard. A place to sit outside, host people, or just decompress after a long day. That's worth doing right.
We're excited to bring this one to life. Once the base layers are set and the surface goes down, the whole space starts to come together fast. It's one of those jobs where the before and after really speaks for itself.
If you've been thinking about adding a patio to your backyard, now is a great time to get the conversation started. Spring fills up quickly around here, and getting on the schedule early makes a big difference.
